JIMMY EDGAR
Jimmy Edgar is a 19 year old prodigy from the city of Detroit, the breeding ground for modern day dance music and home of such artists as Juan Atkins, Carl Craig and Derrick May, whom he is already being compared to. After two EPs on Warp (God knows how old he was when he released them!) Edgar’s debut long Player “Colour Strip” pays homage to the motor cities roots while at the same time pushing the boundaries in dance music. Nevertheless, Color Strip is not so much an album for the dance floor. This is definitely a thinking mans album, made with love and not corrupted by trends or flavor of the month genres. That is why Edgar has a future in dance music. He is literally making up the rules as he goes along, and that the reason why he is so revered by his peers.

CLARK
Clark (formerly Chris Clark) returns with an astonishing new album, 'Body Riddle' set for release from Warp on Oct 2nd. After a long period of studio experimenting (and gigin!) Clark has developed one of the finest albums we've heard this year. Blending live instruments, chunky drums, huge melodies, electronicness and that Clark precision magic, he has produced his best work to date. After experimenting in his studio for over 2 years Chris’ new sound started to emerge via a limited edition 3” cd ‘Throttle Furniture’ in Feb this year around the time of his support tour with 65 Days Of Static. Heavy live drums are blended, mangled and playfully layered with HUGE riffy melodies, and glistening Clark precision electronics. His best work yet - it’s refreshing, bold and sends shivers down your spine. Of course, this demands a new live experience from Clark and it’s exciting to see him rise to the challenge. The Clarky clubby set is still there, but for those that want something fresh & edgy, the new fully live show using mashedup drums & more improv elements promises an exciting experience.

BONOBO
Bonobo's third album, 'Days To Come', is due in October and is his best album yet. The three song single, available NOW , shows in all its glory the varied, yet entirely coherent sound that Bonobo has made his own. 'Nightlite' features the unique, indefinable voice of Bajka, and has strings that would make Moriccone jealous. A restained, reassuring and downright beautiful piece of music.'If You Stayed Over' showcases the inspired pairing of Bonobo with fellow Ninja artist Fink. The song's wrenching vocals, Eleanor Rigby strings and ultra-sharp, blues sensibility add up to something very lovely indeed. The final track 'Recurring' had a sneak outing on Simon's Solid Steel mix and is a perfect example of the new high reached in Bonobo's songwriting.
