SHITKATAPULT LABELNIGHT JUDITH JUILLERAT
"... For her first full length-solo outing, French based artist Juillerat has created the type of album many musicians would struggle their entire careers to make... A little digging revealed that Juillerat relies on hardware, not software, to make her wondrous sounds."
APPARAT
This apparat is one with flexible functions, and its sound is as eclectic as its musical horizon is broad. Its emotional chip features an option on happiness and its sound waves are able to tear your heart apart. While sensitively orchestrating his chamber musical qualities on his records or in his studio, his live performances are known for kicking some ass! He can also proudly refer to a John-Peel-Session, a collaboration with Ellen Allien and is sporadically working with Gianna Nannini on a Rock Opera.

21.10.06 PERE UBU + GAGARIN
PRESENTING NEW ALBUM "Why I hate women"
Greil Marcus, in the 2000 edition of his book Mystery Train, wrote: Pere Ubu boards a train that passes through a modern nation as if it were an ancient land, all ruin and portent, prophecy and decay. Thus the terrain makes the familiar terrain strange, unseen--new.
Robert Palmer, in the New York Times, wrote: Pere Ubu was either ahead of its time or out of step altogether; the band's earliest music sounds as if it could have been recorded yesterday, and is likely to keep sounding that way for some time.
Joe Cushley, Mojo, wrote: Ubu are generally regarded as the missing link between the Velvets and punk. From the beginning they obviously understood the nuts and bolts of popular music, and then loosened them.

RUNEGRAMMOFON LABELNIGHT
SUPERSILENT ARVE HENRISKEN (trumpet) . HELGE STEN / DEATHPROD (electronics/audio virus) STALE STORLOKKEN (keyboards) . JARLE VESPESTAD (drums)
Supersilent traps jazz in a network of wires, scatters it through 21st century fiber optics, reassembles it into transnational splatter. When the machine met man, creativity was not killed in the collision, but multiplied into schizophrenia, a condition channeled and honed by the Norwegian quartet. Their improvisational process is dizzying enough to hear, but on 7 we're forced to see it too. I say forced, because there is no escaping this DVD. Through an abundance of how-are-they-doing-that moments, 7 induces participation. Though the film, an entire concert recorded in Oslo in 2005, becomes exhausting as it nears a second hour, its length should be celebrated. On 7, Supersilent further cements its reputation as the jazz band to be seen and heard by the post-everything generation. Stylusmagazine (US)
Shot in lush black and white, there are chapter breaks for each of the six untitled compositions, but no extras, no menus, no FBI warning or any other extraneous stuff, just brilliant, insinuating, unclassifiable music for slightly over an hour. Highly, highly recommended to any adventurous ear. Global Rhythm (US)
The foursome weave an intense head-twisting ebb and flow out of electronics, trumpet and drums with more than a touch of Miles Davis´ frenetic early 70s jams in there. Mojo (UK)
SUSANNA AND THE MAGICAL ORCHESTRA (feat members of In The Country, Jagga Jazzist)
Singer Susanna Wallumrød has a unique way of making a song her own, and to fill the lyrics and melodies with the emotional content they require. This was made very clear with her stunning interpretation of Dolly Parton´s classic ”Jolene”, recorded for the duo´s debut album ”List Of Lights and Buoys” (2004). A song covered by many artists, but seldom with such heartfelt sincerity. With ”Melody Mountain” they have chosen to do an album of only interpretations, some quite radical, of mostly well-known songs, all personal and moving performances with Morten Qvenild´s naked and to the bone playing an important part in the overall soundscape. Full track list includes ”Hallelujah” (Leonard Cohen), ”It´s A Long Way To The Top” (AC/DC), ”These Days” (Matt Burt) "Condition Of The Heart" (Prince), "Love Will Tear Us Apart" (Joy Division), "Crazy, Crazy Nights" (Kiss), "Don´t Think Twice, It´s All Right" (Bob Dylan), "It´s Raining Today" (Scott Walker), "Enjoy The Silence" (Depeche Mode) and "Fotheringay" (Fairport Convention).
